mizzle | fingering is a 3-ply fingering weight yarn spun from a 50/50 non-superwash blend of British Wensleydale and Peruvian merino, it's a 'toothy' light fingering yarn with the characteristic Wensleydale 'crinkle' and a soft halo. Perfect for colourwork and on its own.

I dyed six shades inspired by weathered-smooth fallen ash, jewels of fungus and lichen, and shafts of late afternoon sunlight through an evergreen canopy. From cool putty beige to deepest darkest forest green with soft old gold, lavender leaning mid-grey, cool sage green, and rich earthy, woody charcoal in between.

Non-superwash yarn can require a little more thought and attention to care but the rewards are plentiful! Fibres that haven't been superwash treated tend to have more memory, bite, and structural interest, and the lack of chemical/processing intervention makes them better for the environment.
