The 16th annual Westknits MKAL is due to kick off at the beginning of October and it promises to be as stunning and unique as always...

The pattern calls for 4 skeins (or equivalent) of fingering weight yarn (400m per shade), ideally three contrasting light/medium/dark shades with a contrast or complimentary 'pop', so we've rummaged in the stock crates and run with our creative instincts.

This yarn pack is ready-to-ship and the price includes a 10% discount off full retail. It contains four skeins of currel | 4ply, our gorgeous non-superwash Peruvian highland wool, in the following shades:

summer's tarnished air
spun from memories & dreams
cast in bronze
say the magic spell

This will make a gorgeous snuggly shawl, but Currel | 4ply is a rustic yarn with nice 'bite' and although we consider it suitable for 'next to skin' wear, those who are sensitive to less soft fibre might not. 

We use professional acid dyes with good light and wash fastness and do our best to exhaust every dye bath and reuse water wherever possible to reduce any further environmental impact. Occasionally a small amount of 'loose' dye may remain in the yarn after rinsing (most likely with deeply saturated shades) and we always recommend hand washing in very cool water and pre-washing your yarn separately if you are intending to mix light and dark shades in a single garment/project.
