So, I've dyed four complimentary\/contrasting shades with the Pressed Flowers Kerchief in mind. This fun little free pattern (\u003ca href=\"https:\/\/www.ravelry.com\/patterns\/library\/pressed-flowers-kerchief\"\u003ehere \u003c\/a\u003eon Ravelry) by Amy Christoffers uses her lovely flower motif and slipped stitch pattern in a funky little kerchief that uses 50g each of two shades. \u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cspan data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003eIntentionally designed to work in any of the six possible combinations of four shades (see \u003ca href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/p\/DZcLxgQjH-f\/?img_index=1\"\u003einstagram \u003c\/a\u003efor all the possible combos!), choose two from lilac, citrine, raspberry, and olive grab some 4.00mm needles and off you go! (Of course, you could choose to knit something else with any\/all of these shades but we think the kerchief is the perfect summer knit...)\u003c\/span\u003e\u003cspan data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003e\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eWe're changing the way we work\/dye over the course of summer 2026 (see my \u003ca href=\"https:\/\/www.meadowyarn.co.uk\/blogs\/blog\/some-necessary-changes-are-happening-in-the-meadowyarn-world\"\u003ejournal\u003c\/a\u003e for an explanation) and I'm working my way through all the bare wool stock dyeing impromptu OOAK batches and shades. Once they're gone, they're gone!\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cspan data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003eWe dye our yarn in small batches using a combination of kettle dyeing for semi-solid and tonal shades and low-immersion and hand-painting for variegated shades that will 'pool' or 'flash' depending on gauge. Even within a dye batch, each skein is unique as a result of our dyeing techniques.\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003cspan\u003eAlthough pightle | DK is spun from superwash fibre, we recommend hand washing in cool water to preserve the vibrancy of the dye and, a\u003c\/span\u003e\u003cspan\u003es with all small-batch, hand-dyed yarn that doesn't have dye lots, we also recommend knitting alternate rows from two skeins when working on larger projects to avoid noticeable changes between skeins.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003cspan\u003eWe use professional acid dyes with good light and wash fastness and do our best to exhaust every dye bath and reuse water wherever possible to reduce any further environmental impact.
